Mastering Excel: Data Entry, Formatting, and Styling

Introduction:

Assalaamu Alaikum and welcome back to Lazy Minds! In today's Excel blog post, we'll delve into the art of data entry, along with the basics of formatting and styling cells. Let's dive into the article!

I. Data Entry Mastery

1.1 Typing Data:

Click on any cell and start typing. Excel lets you input data in three categories: text (like names), numbers, and dates. Editing is a breeze - double-click the cell, use the formula bar, or press F2 on selected cell for a mouse-free option. Navigate with ease using arrow keys, Tab, or Esc for quick corrections.

II. Formatting and Styling Cells

2.1 Font and Text Size:

Alter font styles and sizes effortlessly using the font group in the ribbon. Bold, italicize, underline, and play with colors to enhance text visibility.

2.2 Column and Row Resizing:

Adjust column width and row height by dragging the borders. To resize multiple columns or rows uniformly, press Ctrl, select, and resize. Utilize the format tab in the ribbon for precise adjustments.

2.3 Auto Width and Currency Formatting:

Double-click on the column's right border to automatically adjust width. For currency formatting, press Ctrl-1 or use the Format Cells option. This versatile window allows you to customize your data presentation.
